In addition to an outstanding and beautiful apartment - you have Calim himself. It was a true delight to stay. Attentive, thoughtful - so lovely. It's spacious and in pristine condition with beautiful views over the garden and adjoining fields to the Pentland Hills in the south and Edinburgh Airport and beyond to the west. The cottage was spectacular! Calim even left us fresh food in the fridge, coffee and wine Could t have asked for a better end to a week traveling around Scotland.
Museums, restaurants, and good coffee shops are really close by, as are the train station and airport links. Couldn't have asked for a better host in Calim - fantastic information and local knowledge, prompt replies and clear directions as to what to do to maximise our stay, the most DELICOUS provisions were there to welcome us - we loved it - Thank you. Their kept folded up in the hall cupboard. The cottage was gorgeous and the views were even better! We booked this for a treat for John's birthday. This apartment is in the oldest part of the city, close to the castle. The hot tub was a spectacle, huge and hosted a great view. It was a true delight to stay. The apartment retains the unique character of the Old Town with oak panelled walls and parquet flooring, mixed with family portraits, antiques and works of art, but also all the modern comforts of a home. By the windows is the generous dining space with oak dinning table and six chairs. I know that when we come back to Edinburgh this is the place to stay! It is extremely well located, decorated and stocked beautifully, and Calim was an amazing host For our American cousins that's a walkup: Perfect for enjoying all that Edinburgh offers, but with the peace and quiet of a rural location. It had everything you need for your stay including extras, such as gowns when using the hot tub. From the ease of picking up the keys, finding the flat our chance encounter with Calim - so nice to meet you , and the messages leading up to our trip with restaurant, transit and parking recommendations, we couldn't have asked for more. What a lovely wee retreat just outside the city centre of Edinburgh. On the way back you can stop in at Craigie Farm Shop and enjoy the choice of local fare and have a coffee outside and enjoy amazing views East across Edinburgh. And you can enjoy our generous welcome pack with basics like milk, bread, butter, orange juice and cereal plus a bottle of vino and a wee selection of tasty goodies to savour! The cottage is set on the edge of a perfectly maintained garden, and inside it is immaculate, cosy and beautiful, with everything you could possibly need on your stay. Plus cards and board games. There's a variety of books and board games too. The large decking area has table and chairs, sun loungers, barbecue and of course, a full size Hot Spring Hot Tub offering oodles of room for our guests to soak up those fabulous uninterrupted sunsets and views West. This garden studio with luxurious Outdoor Hot Tub, large outdoor decking area and barbecue, is a self contained totally private cottage separate to our main house, with all the facilities you could want. His books and music, and well-appointed kitchen and bathroom, were all much appreciated by us. Choose from hundreds of books and read in a secret bed box behind floor-to-ceiling shelves.
